Traveler Essentials:Your Questions Answered.

How difficult is the Sigiriya climb?

There are 1,200 steps. It’s manageable for anyone with moderate fitness, but we recommend doing it at dawn to avoid the 2026 heat.

Are we guaranteed to see leopards in Yala?

No wild sighting is guaranteed, but Yala has the highest density of leopards in the world. Our Navigators are expert trackers.

Is the train journey better in the morning?

Yes. Morning trains are often less crowded and offer the best "mist-clearing" views over the tea estates.

What should I wear for the Temple of the Tooth?

Modest clothing is required (shoulders and knees covered). We suggest wearing white to blend in with the locals!

Is the boat safari on the Madu River safe?

Yes, life jackets are provided, and the waters are very calm. It’s a great activity for families.
